The Materials Processing Institute was created as a result of the forward vision of a number of individuals and organisations who had collectively recognised that whilst there was much healthy innovation taking place, there remained clear gaps in knowhow and facilities available to support the metals and materials sectors, and that, as manufacturing remains a mainstay of today’s economies, the creation of an organisation equipped to address these challenges was needed.

Whilst open access, the institute offers a membership model for an enhanced relationship, with a number of tiers of membership available.
