Conferencing Facilities receive first class rating from Composites UK


The Composite UK SME Roadshow held at the conferencing facilities at the Materials Processing Institute proved to be a great success attracting a large number of organisations from throughout the Tees Valley.

The Institute has a range of easily accessible conferencing and meeting facilities which are regularly used by industry and other organisations. Following this latest event, Claire Whysall, Communications Manager for Composites UK commented:

"Thank you for being the host of our event. I was extremely impressed with all the staff involved who were very polite and efficient - nothing was too much trouble. There are professional event venues we have used in the past that could learn a thing or two from you".

Composites UK is a trade organisation actively promoting the use of composites to the UK's advanced manufacturing sector and this event was organised as part of an ongoing drive to support composites industry growth in the UK.

Paul Booth, chair of Tees Valley Local Enterprise Partnership, said: "Attracting the first North East Composites UK Road Show to Tees Valley is a real coup for the area, which has a wealth of expertise in this industrial field.

"Our region is home to a number of companies that already supply or have the potential to supply the composite market, both nationally and internationally.
