A high temperature multi-fuel furnace with interchangeable burner systems for hydrogen, natural gas, or blend operation under oxy-fuel conditions. Includes a natural gas / air burner for conventional combustion.

Applications and Capability

This furnace supports low-carbon fuel transition strategies, particularly in high-temperature industrial sectors. It is used to:

  • Evaluate material behaviour under various combustion atmospheres
  • Simulate full-scale furnace operational conditions
  • Generate data to support feasibility studies, product development and investment planning
  • Conduct rapid cooling trials using an auxiliary quench tank

The size of the furnaces and operational temperature capability allow testing of multiple samples, making it ideal for comparative studies and batch testing.
