Energy & Process Decarbonisation Centre

As the world faces the urgent challenge of climate change, the need to decarbonise industries has never been more critical.

Energy & Process Decarbonisation Centre

The Energy and Process Decarbonisation Centre is leading the transition to sustainable energy and processes within industry.

Through consultation, research, and testing services, we support industries in achieving their decarbonisation goals. We focus on scalable and commercially viable solutions to drive innovation in sustainable energy and process technologies. We work to combat climate change by fostering knowledge exchange and providing impactful solutions.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The Energy and Process Decarbonisation Centre aims to develop and implement cutting-edge technologies and innovations that reduce carbon emissions and environmental impact of greenhouse gases across industry. This is achieved through:

  • Innovative Technology Development: Development of innovative technologies that significantly reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency in industrial processes. This includes advancements in combustion efficiency, heating technologies, and alternative fuels utilisation.
  • Consultation and Support: Consultation and support to industries to help them decarbonise. This involves providing tailored solutions, conducting feasibility studies, and offering technical advice to help transition to low-carbon energy sources.
  • Research and Development: Collaborative and client specific research projects, with particular focus on process modelling, hydrogen storage, and materials testing in hydrogen environments.
  • Testing and Validation: Testing and validation services to ensure the effectiveness and safety of decarbonisation technologies. This includes testing products in various combustion atmospheres, conducting emissions diagnostics, and validating process models.
  • Scale-up and Commercialisation: Scale-up and commercialisation of decarbonisation technologies to ensure their practicality and viability in real-world applications.
  • Policy and Advocacy: Engagement in policy discussions and advocacy efforts to promote the adoption of sustainable energy and process technologies. This includes providing input on regulatory frameworks, advocating for incentives for decarbonisation initiatives, and raising awareness of the importance of industrial decarbonisation.
  • Education and Outreach: Outreach programmes, workshops, and seminars to support the next generation of professionals in energy and process decarbonisation.
