Showcasing Career Opportunities for Young People in Tees Valley


Now in its 6th year, the Tees Valley Skills Event 2017 will take place on Thursday 21st September 2017 in the Olympia Building at Teesside University.

The aims of the event are:

  • To support the development of the future Tees Valley workforce by highlighting the different routes to employment, education, training, apprenticeships and job vacancies at all levels.
  • To showcase key Tees Valley industries to students.
  • To promote the Tees valley as a place to prosper

The Tees Valley Skills event aims to better promote the wide range of employment and learning prospects available to young people aged 14-19 in the Tees Valley.

The Materials Processing Institute is supporting the event at the exhibition which will include hands on interactive activities from a range of Employers, Universities, Colleges, Learning & Training providers.

The Tees Valley Skills Event is organised in partnership by Tees Valley Combined Authority, Teesside University, nybep and Tees Valley Learning Provider Network and it is anticipated over 3,000 young people will visit.
