Chris McDonald listed among North East Top 200 Most Influential People

Chris McDonald, CEO of the Materials Processing Institute, has been named by a panel of experts as one of the North East's most influential people in the 2020 guide published today by ChronicleLive and The Journal.

The list which is now in its 13th year, highlights 200 people who are making a real difference to the life of the region.

The list covers a range of sectors, with business, politics and local government represented along with figures in there from the worlds of sport, food and drink, charities and religion.

Most people make it onto the list on the basis of their day jobs, but many are also going above and beyond the nine-to-five and trying to make a difference to the life of the North East in other ways. To be included people have to be doing something that affects the region in a meaningful and sizeable way.

By its very nature, the list is subjective and it has been drawn together by a panel of experts.
