In this series of webinars Teesside University Hydrogen Innovation Project is partnering with the Materials Processing Institute to present and discuss the impacts, challenges, and benefits that hydrogen can bring to support decarbonisation.

This is the second in a series of webinars and this event will focus on the role that hydrogen can play as an alternative reductant for coke which if produced from a renewable source could create ‘green steel’ The session will present the various opportunities and challenges involved in switching to hydrogen gas.

Further webinars in this series will cover the role that hydrogen can play as an alternative reducing agent in primary steelmaking and also the structural impact that hydrogen can have on steel materials.
