Andrew Buchanan joins industry experts as a speaker at Circular Economy Roadshow


Andrew Buchanan, Group Manager Circular Economy, at the Materials Processing Institute will be speaking at the at the BLUEPRINT Circular Economy Roadshow, a week-long series of free virtual events from 9-13 May 2022.

The BLUEPRINT Project is a European Regional Development Fund project to help local authorities in England and France to implement a circular economy.

Andrew will be speaking at the “Can we remove waste from the construction industry?” event on Wednesday 11th May from 09:00 - 11:00.

The construction sector is the UK’s largest user of materials and produces over 60% of England’s waste (Defra). Andrew will consider the pathways for a more circular construction sector and outline how the Institute’s Circular Economy Group is supporting business and the wider community in the adoption of new technologies and practices to help society and industry make these step changes.

Other speakers in this session will include Duncan Baker Brown, Founder of Baker Brown, architects, consultants and advocates of low and net zero carbon buildings, and Gary Elliott, Chief Executive of Elliott Wood Partnership, a structural and civil engineering practice.
